Sam - Lead Vocalist; Master of Ceremonies

Sam has been singing and performing from a young age: His first international tour was at the age of 11 when he travelled with the Australian Boys Choir to perform a 35-day concert tour of America.

Sam takes musical inspiration from jazz greats such as Ella Fitzgerald, Frank Sinatra and Harry Connick Jnr, Michael Buble, to singer/songwriters such as Jeff Buckley, Jason Mraz and Damien Rice, and including vocalists as diverse as Joshua Groban, Michael Jackson and Bobby McFerrin. His classical training provides a strong foundation for his contemporary vocal style.

Sam is a lively and charismatic stage performer and experienced professional Master of Ceremonies. 

Yvette - Lead Vocalist

Yvette is an accomplished vocalist, having performed overseas and throughout Australia. She has appeared on television and radio, has recorded with multiple ensembles, and has taught contemporary singing at the Jaanz School of Singing.

Yvette showcases her expertise every time she takes the stage, drawing from her experience as both a teacher and performer.

 

Yvette takes musical inspiration from jazz greats such as Nina Simone and Madeleine Peyroux; from RnB performers such as Beyonce, Alicia Keys and Rihanna, and from vocalists such as Eva Cassidy and Katie Noonan.

John '- Music Producer / Keyboards / Sound Engineer.

John is a music producer, professional sound engineer. John's fine tuned ear, and attention to detail, is evidenced in Serenade's high quality sound. Serenade is renowned for an awesome live sound; a stand out in the industry.

John is the maestro of the group, playing keyboards and synthesisers, and keeping the sound desk smooth. Since his classical piano training at the University of Melbourne, John has expanded his musical horizons to include production of hip-hop and rap artists, as well as technical crafts such as lighting and sound engineering.

John takes musical inspiration from the classical greats Bach and Mozart, from jazz legends such as Miles Davis and Keith Jarrett and from the Rap and RnB styles of Jay Z, Usher and Dr. Dre.

Andy - Saxophone (soprano, alto, tenor, baritone), Flute, Percussion

Andy has been teaching and playing saxophone for many years, and has toured with super-groups 'Labjacd', 'The Public Opinion Afro Orchestra' and 'Bombay Royale'. Andy is in demand as one of Melbourne's top session musicians, and draws influences from jazz greats such as John Coltrane, Quincy Jones, Dick Dale and Mohammed Rafi.

Aaron - Saxophone, Flute, Clarinet, Guitar

Aaron has been a professional musician in Melbourne for the past decade. Whilst he is usually seen playing baritone saxophone with 'The Grand Wazoo', he is a fluent performer on all saxophones, flutes and clarinets.

Aaron has performed with theatre personalities such as Rhonda Burchmore, Chloe Dallimore, Marina Prior, Marty Fields and Peter Cousins, and with well-known bands such as the Pearly Shells, Grupo Bahia and many others. In addition, Aaron leads his own jazz quintet that released their album in 2004 to critical acclaim.
